Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information MarketMate processes, why we use it, how it may be shared with service providers, and the choices available to you when you use MarketMate.

Last updated: 26 August 2026

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy applies when you access or use MarketMate, including our website, account features, business setup, campaign and AI features, subscription and billing features, stored content, and customer support.

In this Privacy Policy, "MarketMate", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the MarketMate service and its operator. If the legal operator of MarketMate changes or is formally identified in the future, this policy may be updated accordingly.

2. Information we process

The information MarketMate processes depends on the features you use and the information you choose to provide.

Account information

Information used to create and operate your MarketMate account, such as your email address, account identifier, authentication information, onboarding status, selected plan, and information needed to maintain your account session.

Business information

Information you provide about your business, such as your business name, category, description, address, country, timezone, opening hours, website, currency, target customers, offerings, brand preferences, business strengths, promotion preferences, and marketing rules.

Uploaded content

Files and content you choose to provide to MarketMate, such as business logos, product or service images, and other business or campaign assets used with the service.

Campaign and AI information

Campaign instructions, business context, prompts, generated content, images, and other information needed to provide campaigns, recommendations, copy, creative direction, image generation, or other AI-assisted outputs you request.

Subscription and billing information

Information needed to operate your subscription, such as your selected plan, subscription status, billing email when provided through checkout, billing-period information, cancellation status, usage allowance, and identifiers associated with your Airwallex customer and subscription.

Support information

When you contact MarketMate Support, we may process your name, email address, support category, message, ticket status, and information used internally to manage the support request. A request may be associated with your MarketMate account when you are signed in.

MarketMate and the infrastructure used to provide the service may also process technical information reasonably necessary to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service, such as request information, device or browser information, IP address, session information, timestamps, and application or security logs where these are made available through our hosting, authentication, or other service infrastructure.

3. How we use information

MarketMate uses information as reasonably necessary to provide, operate, protect, and improve the service. This includes:

  • creating, authenticating, maintaining, and securing MarketMate accounts and sessions;
  • saving and using your Business Profile to personalise campaigns, recommendations, and generated content;
  • processing campaign instructions, business context, prompts, and selected assets to provide AI-assisted features you request;
  • storing, organising, displaying, editing, and delivering content and assets used by MarketMate;
  • operating subscriptions, plan access, usage allowances, plan changes, cancellations, and billing-related features;
  • receiving, organising, and responding to customer support and privacy requests;
  • preventing abuse, investigating errors, protecting accounts, and maintaining the security and reliability of MarketMate; and
  • complying with applicable legal obligations and resolving disputes where necessary.

4. Artificial intelligence processing

MarketMate provides AI-assisted features for tasks such as campaign generation, recommendations, marketing content, creative planning, and image generation.

When you use these features, information needed to perform your request may be sent to and processed by third-party artificial intelligence service providers used by MarketMate. This may include prompts, campaign instructions, relevant Business Profile information, generated or uploaded content, and images or other assets selected for the requested AI feature.

MarketMate currently uses Google AI services, including Gemini models, for certain AI-assisted features. MarketMate may use additional or replacement AI providers as the service evolves. Information processed by a third-party AI provider is also subject to that provider's applicable terms, privacy practices, and data-processing arrangements.

MarketMate does not independently promise that information submitted to an external AI provider will be handled under identical retention or processing rules to information kept within MarketMate's own application systems. You should avoid providing personal, confidential, or sensitive information to an AI feature unless it is necessary for the content you are asking MarketMate to generate and you are authorised to provide it.

5. Storage and service providers

MarketMate relies on third-party service providers and infrastructure to operate parts of the service. These providers may process information where necessary to perform services for MarketMate.

MarketMate uses Supabase for backend services that include authentication, database functionality, and file storage. Depending on the feature, MarketMate may store account records, business information, campaign information, subscription metadata, support information, uploaded files, and generated assets using these services.

Where MarketMate creates optimised or derivative versions of an uploaded asset for use within the service, the original and the processed version may both be retained while they are needed to provide the relevant feature.

MarketMate also uses payment, AI, hosting, and other technical service providers as necessary to provide the service. These providers may receive information relevant to the specific function they perform.

6. Payments and Airwallex

MarketMate uses Airwallex to provide subscription checkout, payment processing, recurring billing, and related payment services. Payment and checkout information you provide through an Airwallex payment experience is processed by Airwallex in accordance with Airwallex's applicable privacy and data-processing practices.

MarketMate receives and stores certain information needed to operate your subscription. This may include your Airwallex customer and subscription identifiers, selected MarketMate plan, subscription and payment status, billing email when provided, billing-period information, cancellation status, pending plan changes, and usage allowance information.

MarketMate does not receive or store the full payment-card number or card security code that you submit through Airwallex's payment experience.

Airwallex may independently retain payment, transaction, compliance, fraud-prevention, or other records in accordance with its own legal obligations and policies. Deleting your MarketMate account does not necessarily delete records that Airwallex is required or permitted to retain independently.

7. Cookies and account sessions

MarketMate uses cookies and related browser technologies where necessary to support authentication, security, and account sessions. These technologies allow MarketMate's authentication system to recognise an authenticated session as you use the service.

If MarketMate introduces additional analytics, advertising, or non-essential tracking technologies in the future, this Privacy Policy may be updated to describe those practices where required.

8. Support requests

If you submit a request through MarketMate Support, we process the information you provide so that the request can be reviewed and managed. Support requests are stored as support tickets and may include internal status information and private support notes used to manage the request.

If you submit a support request while authenticated, the ticket may be associated with your MarketMate account. You may also communicate with MarketMate Support by email when appropriate.

Support records may be retained after an account is deleted where reasonably necessary to maintain a record of the request, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or meet applicable legal or operational requirements.

9. Data retention and account deletion

MarketMate retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and operate the service, maintain relevant records, manage subscriptions and support requests, protect MarketMate and its users, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or operational requirements.

Retention periods can vary depending on the type of information and how it is used. MarketMate does not represent that every category of data is automatically deleted after a single fixed period.

Where the account deletion feature is available, you can initiate deletion from your MarketMate account settings. Account deletion is intended to remove your MarketMate account and associated application data that MarketMate is able to delete through that process.

Some information may remain after account deletion where retention is reasonably necessary or legally required. This can include payment or transaction records, records needed for accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or information independently retained by third-party service providers under their own obligations.

You may contact MarketMate Support if you have a question about account deletion or a separate privacy request.

10. International processing

MarketMate uses service providers and technical infrastructure that may process or store information in countries or regions other than the country where you are located.

This means information may be transferred to or processed in jurisdictions with privacy and data-protection rules that differ from those in your location. MarketMate uses its service-provider arrangements and other appropriate safeguards where applicable to support these transfers and the operation of the service.

11. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights relating to your personal information, such as requesting access to or correction of information, requesting deletion, or asking questions about how your information is used.

These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions, identity verification, record-retention requirements, or other applicable limitations.

To make a privacy request that is not available directly through your MarketMate account, contact MarketMate Support using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

12. Security

MarketMate uses technical and organisational measures intended to protect the information processed through the service. However, no internet service, storage system, or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and should contact us if you believe your account or information may have been compromised.

13. Information you provide about other people

If you provide MarketMate with information, images, or other content relating to another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate authority, permission, or other lawful basis to provide and use that information for the relevant MarketMate feature.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

MarketMate may update this Privacy Policy when the service, providers, data practices, or applicable requirements change. If the policy is updated, the revised version will be published on this page and the date shown above will be updated. Where appropriate, MarketMate may also provide additional notice of a material change.

15. Contact us

If you have a question about this Privacy Policy, want to make a privacy request, or have a concern about how MarketMate handles information, contact MarketMate Support.
